英語で言えるとかっこいい　秋編

さて　秋です。　秋といえばなんでしょうか？　秋　食欲の秋、読書の秋、スポーツの秋、もみじ、さんま、キノコ、栗、新米．．．。トンボがたくさん飛び出し空がたかくなり気候がいいのでどこかにいきたくなりますね。　私は宮島でみなさまのお越しをお待ちしてますけれども

OK, it is FALL. Fall is about what? Fall. Fall is season for good food, reading, sport. fall leaves, saury, mushrooms, chestnuts, new rice…. Dragon fries all over the place and sky get really high and you want to go out to somewhere since the weather is great. Well, I am waiting for you at Miyajima.

食欲の秋とか．．．

日本語で使うような芸術の秋とか食欲の秋とかそういうフレーズは英語にはありません。秋は〜をするのに最高のシーズンですねというくらいのいい方になります。　海外には四季がないから、って言う人今でもいますかね？　四季があるのは日本だけではありません。常夏の国はありますがだいたい四季ってあるものですよ。　もみじが赤くなるのは日本だけではないのです。

In Japanese, we will say “Fall appetite” “Fall for art” , but there is no such phrase in English. So better translation would be “Fall is the best season for ~~ ” Are there anybody still believe in “There is no 4 seasons in overseas”? Of course there is. Japan is not only country with seasons. There is the country with Summer all the time, but for most countries, there are 4 seasons. It is not only Japan which maple change the color.

今回は日本と英語を並記してみました。　意外と簡単に英語になるんだなーって思った人多いのではないでしょうか？
