茶道　　Tea Ceremony

茶道について語れるほど実は詳しくもないのですが外国人は日本人は日本文化を良く知ってると

信じているのでちょっとそれらしくかっこ付けて説明出来るようにしていきたいと思います。

さわりだけ。または一般論的なものを。

日本人の方がむしろ茶道に興味がなく抹茶なんてアイスしか食べた事がないという人がほとんどではないでしょうか。

外国人のみなさんが茶道を体験して「ここがよかった」というところはまず

静かでおちつける

Nice and quiet,   so relaxing,  calm, peaceful 　

Tea ceremony is made to enjoy the silence.    So unlike tea party in the west, we shouldn’t talk.

Share the sound of silence, hear the boiling sound of hot water, sound of whisk, sound of rustle of dress, something you can not hear if it is not quiet.  

伝統を感じる

Tea ceremony is just about serving tea and drinking tea, but there is some steps that you have to take.

Serving tea part is handled by tea master, so we don’t have to worry about that.  Just enjoy the say those utensils are handled.  

Basically all those steps are not changing for 800 years or so. 

抹茶もお菓子もおいしい　かわいい

季節感があったり見た目にかわいいお菓子が提供される事が多いのが茶道です。

量的にも多くなくほとんどは１口２口でたべられるものばかりです。

練りきりはかわいいけど好きじゃないという人やあんこが苦手という人は一定数いますがあまいのはいいことなのでだいたいはみなさんおいしく召し上がります。

Macha is somewhat bitter, but it creamy and smooth.

Sweets are always come with tea, and it is selected for the guests.  Usually sweets represent the season.  

For example, cherry blossom in Spring,  gold fish (figure) in Summer.  

このくらいいえたら相手が知りたいくらいの情報だろうと思います。日本人としてはお茶の飲み方くらいは覚えておきたいですね。

明治の頃から日本人の女子の間ではやった茶道。それまでは男子のみが茶道を習っていました。

しかし茶道の世界はいまだに男子社会です。　家元は長男のみが継いでいきますし家元を支える茶家でも長男があとを継いで行きます。
